Building a CI/CD Pipeline with Jenkins and ArgoCD on Kubernetes
A clear separation between build automation and cluster reconciliation makes Kubernetes delivery easier to reason about.
Jenkins can build, test, scan, and publish an image while ArgoCD keeps the cluster aligned with the declared deployment state.
The important boundary is the artifact handoff: the pipeline produces a versioned image and updates the deployment configuration, while ArgoCD owns the application rollout inside Kubernetes.
Add health checks, rollback instructions, image provenance, and secrets management early. Delivery speed matters only when the operator can understand what changed and recover safely.
