About me and the work I care about.

About Me

I’m Mohammad Bin Abdullah — a DevOps and infrastructure engineer focused on Linux, networking, cloud, and secure self-hosted systems. I deploy and manage open-source software, build CI/CD pipelines, harden servers, configure firewalls and VPNs, and handle load balancing. I also build mobile and web apps, which helps me support development teams end-to-end.

Away from the terminal, I chase curiosity: physics, mathematics, and STEM. I believe strong engineering stands on solid fundamentals.

What I Bring

  • Systems & Linux: Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Arch, Alpine), Windows Server, Bash scripting, backups, and hardening.
  • Networking & Security: TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, pfSense/OPNsense, WireGuard, OpenVPN, Wireshark, Nginx, and load balancing.
  • DevOps & Cloud: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Terraform, Ansible, AWS, GCP, Proxmox, and VMware.
  • Monitoring & Security: Prometheus, Grafana, Trivy, log analysis, and hardening practices.
  • Development (secondary): React Native, React, Node.js, TypeScript, Firebase, and MongoDB.

Current Focus

I’m deepening my systems and cloud skills while making time for the fundamentals: math, physics, and the principles that make technology exciting. I believe that a solid grounding in these areas makes for better engineering — and a more curious mind.
